DECISION N° /MINESEC / du 12 avril 2017

To launch the Competitive Common Entrance Examination into Public Government Teacher Training College GTTC, 2017 session

THE MINISTRY OF SECOND EDUCATION
Mindful of
the Constitution;
the Law n°98/004 of 14 April 1998 of Orientation of Education in Cameroon;
the Decree n°80/ 195 of 09 June 1980 on the General Rules and Regulations of Teachers’
Training Colleges;
the Decree n°2000/696/PM of 13 September 2000 to lay down the general rules and
regulations for Government competitive examinations;
the Decree n°2011/408 of 09 December 2011 to organise the Government;
the Decree n°2011/409 of 09 December 2011 appointing the Prime Minister, Head of
State;
the Decree n°2012/267 of 11 June 2012 to organise the Ministry of Secondary Education;
the Decree n°2015/434 of 02 October 2015 to reshuffle the Government;
the Order n°328/13[MINESEC/SEESEN/IGEfiP-EN/DECC of 30 October 2013 to
organise competitive common entrance examination into public Government Teacher
Training Coileges (GTTC);
the Order n°6384/B1/1464/MINEDUB/MINESEC of 24 June 2016 to define the Calendar
of the 2016/2017 School Year in the Republic of Cameroon;

the Decision n°576/16/MINESEC/SEESEN/SG/DECC/SDOEC of 15 October 2016 to
define the calendar and registration procedure into Examinations supervised by the
Department of Examinations and Certification, 2017 Session

the Decision n°727/16/MINESEC/SEESEN/SGÆECC/SDOEC of 12 December 2016 to
define the 2017 Official Calendar of Examination.

DECIDES AS FOLLOWS:
Article 1: A competitive common entrance examination for the recruitment of twelve thousand seven hundred and twenty (12 720) Student Teachers into Public Government Teacher Training Colleges
(GTTC) shall take place on Tuesday 27 June 2017 in regional capital cities

Article 2: The distribution of available places per school and level is shown in an appendix.

Article 3: The examination is opened to young Cameroonians of both sexes, of 17 years at least and 32
years at most by lSt January 2017, and holders of the following certificates or diplomas:

a) For Grade 1: BEPC or the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE/OL},
passed with at least four (4) papers in one session, except << Religious Knowledge ».

b) For Grade 2 : Probatoire of General Education, all specialities taken together, or General
Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE/AL), passed with one (1) paper except
«Religious Knowledge» or the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE/OL)
passed with at least (5) papers in one session, except « Religious Knowledge ».

c) For Grade 3: Baccalaureate all specialities taken together or the General Certificate of
Education Advanced Level (GCE/AL) passed with at least two (2) papers in one session.


Article 4: However, candidates that do not meet all requirements cited in Article 3 shall be authorised to
sit for the examination subject to obtaining the diploma required during the year for their final admission.

Article 5: (1) All Complete application files that must reach the Regional Dclegations (RDSE) and
Divisional Delegations (DDSE) of the Ministry of Secondary Education latest Friday 05 May 2017,
shall include:

a) A duly filled and stamped registration form, that the candidate can collect from RDSE/DDSE ;
b) A certified true copy of birth certificate not older than three (03) months (see over the
registration form) ;
c) A certified true copy of the certificate required for the Common Entrance Examination, or an
Attestation of School Attendance for those writing in anticipation of obtaining their
certificate ;
d) A certificate of non-conviction not older than three (03) months ;
e) A Medical certificate not older than three (03) months, issued by a registered medical
practitioner and attesting the ability of the candidate to work as a teacher, in accordance with
the regulation in force;
t) Two (02) identification forms ;
g) Pour (04) recent passport size photographs 4 x 4 ;
h) A Certificate of Nationality ;
1) The receipt attesting payment of registration fees of CFA ten thousand (10.000) issued either
by the Sub-Director of General Affair of the RDSE or the Service Head of Administrative and
financial Affairs of the DDSE;
j) A 28 x 37 stamped envelope bearing the exact address of the candidate (Postal code and
telephone number) ;

(2) All incomplete or late files shall be rejected;
(3) Candidates sit for the examination in the capital city where the chosen GTTC is located;
(4) All examination centres are bilingual.

Article 6: The written part of the examination shall take place as follows:

Article 7: The transfer of successful candidates from one school to another is not authorised during
the training.

Article 8: The results of the GTTC competitive examination shall be published through & radio - press
release signed by the Minister of Secondary Education.

Article 9 : The Head of the Department of Examination and Certification and Regional Delegates of

Secondary Education shall, each in their own sphere, be charged with the strict implementation of this

Decision, which shall be registered and published wherever necessary. Li)
