To launch the Competitive Entrance Examination and set the number of places into year one of the Higher Institute of
Transport and Logistics (HlTL) of the University of Bamenda for the 201 /2018 academic year.

Mindful of law N‘J 2001/0053 of 16m April 2001 bearing on the orientation of Higher Education;
Mindful of Decree N0 93/026 of 19'4 January 1993 to create Universities;
Mindful of Decree ND 93/027 of 19‘h January 1993 laying down common provisions in State Universities
modified and supplemented by Decree No 2005/2342 of 10‘n September 2005;
Mindful of Decision NO 004/CAB/PM of 10‘h February 20000n admission into national schools of training and
recruitment of civil servants,
Mindful of Decree ND 2010/371 of 14th December 2010 to create The University of Bamenda;
Mindful of Decree NO 2010/372 of 14th December 2010 to erect the Higher Institute of Transport and Logistics;
Mindful of Decree N0 2011/045 of 08th March 2011 to organize the University of Bamenda;
Mindful of Decree ND 2011/408 01091n December 2011 to organize the Government;
Mindful of Decree n0 2011/410 0109m December 2011 to appoint members of Government;
Mindful of Decree N0 2015/541 of 27/h November 2015 appointing the Vice Chancellor of The University of
Bamenda;
Mindful of Decree No 2012/4323 of 1St October 2012 to organize the Ministry of Higher Education;
Mindful of Decree NO 2014/189 of 04m June 2014 appointing the Director of Higher Institute of Transport and
Logistics;
Mindful of Order N° 17/00056/MlNESUP/SG/DAUQ/SDEAC/SE of 251h January 2017 to draw the calendar of
the Competitive Entrance Examination into Schools and Faculties of State Universities for the
2017/2018 academic year.

Article 1: A competitive entrance examination into year one of the Higher Institute of Transport and Logistics
(HITL), of the University of Bamenda, for the 2017/2018 academic year has been launched in the
following Departments: -

Article 2: (1) The examination shall be organized in one sitting to Cameroonians of both sexes, holders of GCE A/L or Baccalaureate or any equivalent diploma recognized by the Minister of Higher Education in addition to 5 O/L papers including English Language and Maths or Economics and excluding Religious Knowledge or Probatoire with pass in English and Mathematics. (2) The table below shows the required diplomas or certificates 3 candidate must have to be qualified to register for the common entrance in a given Department. Minimum 2 GCE A/L papers including Mathematics or Economics and any other paper excluding Religious Knowledge or Baccalaureat B, C, D, E, STT, IT and Industry series with a pass in Mathematics g Economics, Article 3: An application file shall comprise the following documents: A registration form to be collected from the Higher Institute of Transport and Logistics (HITL) Bambili, Littoral Regional Delegation of Secondary Education (Douala), MINESUP Yaounde, The Veterinary School (ESVM) of the University of Ngaoundere or downloaded from wwwunibdanet; or wwwhitlbamendacm' A certified printed copy of the birth certificate dated not more than six (6) months; A certified photocopy of GCE O/L or Probatoire dated not more than six (06) months; A certified photocopy of GCE A/L or Baccalauréat or equivalent diploma dated not more than six (6) months; Certified photocopies of GCE O/L M GCE A/L or Probatoire fl Baccalauréat transcripts; A medical certificate which is less than three (03) months issued by a Doctor of the Public Service; A receipt upon payment of twenty thousand (20,000) FCFA as non-refundable registration fees delivered by NFC BANK S.A following the bank code 10025 00032 16201050747-67, by Orange Money or MTN Mobile Money. One self-addressed large envelope bearing stamps in conformity with the regulations in force; Four passport size photographs, Upon admission, candidates are expected to present an authenticated copy of their certificate by The GCE Board/ Office du Baccalauréat. Article 4: Complete files should be submitted to HITL Bamenda or to The University of Bamenda Office in Yaounde situated in the lnstitite for University Digital Governance (UY1) building opposite the Blue Bus Stop between Ecole Polytechnique and CHU, or The Veterinary School (ESMV) of the University of Ngaoundere, latest August 25‘", 2017. Article 5: The competitive Entrance Examination shall comprise: 1) A written examination counting for 70% of the final mark, 2) An assessment of the candidate's previous academic work based on transcript results for 30%. Article 6: The written papers shall take place on September 9th, 2017 in the four centres of Bambili, Douala, Yaounde, and Ngaoundere. Article 7: The syllabuses of the written examination are the same as in the Baccalaureats or GCE A/L corresponding programmes. Article 8: Marks for each paper of the written tests are ranged from zero to twenty. Any candidate who scores less than five out of twenty shall be disqualified; Article 9: Questions will cover General Knowledge, English, French, Maths and Economics. The examination structure is indicated as follows: Paper | (Major) 3 hours Coefficient 4: Mathematics or Economics Paper |l (Minor) 3 hours Coefficient 2 (General Knowledge), English and French Article 10: After the test, the jury shall prepare the lists of successful candidates per Department and alphabetical order for publication by the Minister of Higher Education; Article 11: The composition of the jury mentioned in the above article is specified by the Minister of Higher Education.
