To launch the competitive entrance examination into the first year of the Institute of fine Arts Foumban (IFAF) of the University of Dschang for the 2017/2018 academic year.

ORDERS:
A competitive entrance examination is open for the recruitment of 250 students into the first year of the
Institute Of fine Arts FOUMBAN of the University of Dschang for the 2017/2018 academic year, in the following
training

Plastic Arts (Painting and drawing, sculpture, carving, ceramics, history of Arts and contemporary Arts}: 50
places.
Decorative Arts (DressiDesign and Style, and Textile Arts) 50 places.
Ams, Technology and Heritage (Wood and fibre Technology, Heritage and Museum Studies) : 45 places
Performing Arts (Dance and Choreograpliie Arts, Musical Arts, Cinematographic and Audio~Visual Art,
Theatre Art}: 45 places. _
Architecture and Engineering Art (Architecture: 60 places). _ ‘
The entrance examination will take place on the 5, 6 and 7 September 2017 in the following Centres: Foumban, Bamenda Bambui, Yaounde—Nkolbisson, Dschang and Douala.
The examination is open to Cameroonians of both sexes who are holders of the Baccalaureat in all
disciplines or the GCE Advanced Level in at least livo subjects excluding Religious knowledge or any equivalent
certificate recognized by the Ministry of Higher ltdueation: “Brevet de Technicien”, or “Brevet Professionnel".
Candidates from metnber countries of the l'ieonotnie and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CiiMAC) which
have ratified the text governing the national treatment of students and who have the required qualification are allowed
to write under the same conditions as their Cameroonian counterparts.
(2) Candidates from countries which are not members of the Economic and Monetary Con‘nnunity of Central
Africa and those of member countries who are not participating in the examination can be admitted by the study oi
their files within the limits ofthe places available, it'tltey are beneficiaries of Scholarships from their govemntents or
an international organization which shows written tii'ooftiftlteit' readiness to pay their fees according to their status.
Article 3 : Complete application files should reach the Admissions office (scolarité) of the institute of fine Arts
lioutnbau (iii/ti") PO. Box 3! lioumban, latest August 29, 2017. They can be either sent before the closing date to the
Director of the institute of fine Arts Fountban (USAF), P.O. Box 3] Foumban or deposited directly at the students"
affairs office (scolarité) ofthe Institute ofl-‘ine Arts Foutnban. Documents can also he received at any oi'thc antennae
oi' the University of Dschang, (Yaounde—Nkolbisson, Ebolowa, Maroua and Bambui). or at Regional Delegations of
Secondary Education files sent through the Post Office must be registered with acknowledgment of receipt.
Application files should comprise the following items:
l. A completely filed registration form downloaded after following the procedures of preregislration online at.

2. A receipt of twenty thousand (20 000) F CFA being the registration fees paid into account N“ of [PAP nO
37679635001—73 BICIiC through any of the financial institutions (EXPRESS UNION, EXPRESS
EXCHANGE) that the candidate can choose during the dowuloading of the registration form, (photocopy
must be presented in the examination hall).
3. A certified true copy of Baccalaureat, GCE Advanced level or a certified true copy of the testimonials ofthc
above mentioned certificates.
4. Certified photocopies of Baccalaureat transcript, the report cards of the Upper Sixth class or a certified true
cepy ofthe GCE A level result slip.
A certified photocopy of birth certificate not more than three months old.
A medical certificate of fitness.
Four passport size photographs (4x4) bearing candidate’s names written behind.
An envelope (A4) stamped by the post office according to the weight of contettt and bearing candidate‘s
Aaddress.
N.B.: Candidates in the Upper Sixth class who are not yet in possession oftiteir Advanced Level results can also
sit for the examination on condition that they present an attestation of school attendance for the current
academic year (2016/2017). IIowex-Er, the}_'.~fi*_il_l'bc finally admitted only after succeeding in the Advanced Level

Article 4 : Registration is non refundable
Article 5 : Only candidates whose files are complete will be selected to sit for the examination.
Article 6 1 The competitive examination comprises:
- Studying of files (20% of final mark).
— Written examination (60% of final mark).
— Practical examination (20% offinal mark).

Article 7 : The score of every written test ranges from zero to 20.
Article 8 : The programme of the examination is that of Baccalauréat A, B C and D or of GCE “‘A Level or an};
equivalent diploma.
Article 9 : Deliberation will be done by ajury appointed by the Minister of Higher Education, upon proposal from the
Rector ofthe University ofDSChang.
Article 10 : final results will be published through an announcement by the Minister oflligher Education
Article 11: Admission status cannot be deferred from one year to another.
Article 12 : Expenditures linked to the organisation of the competitive examination will be borne by the budget of‘the
University ostchang for 2017.
Article 13 : The Rector of the University of Dschang, the Director of University Acereditations and Quality and the
Director ofthc Institute of fine Arts Fournban are responsible in their respective capacities, for the implementation of
this order which shall be registered and published wherever ap nimble.
