DECISION N°MINESEC/SEESEN/SG/DECC/SDOECISOECEN 0 12 AVR 2017
To launch the competitive Common Entrance Examination into Public Government Technical Teacher
Training Colleges (GTTTC), 2017 session.

THE MINISTER OF SECONDARY EDUCATION,

Mindful of the Constitution;
Mindful of the Law n°98/004 of 14 April 1998 of Orientation of Education in Cameroon;
Mindful of the Decree n°80/195 of 09 June 1980 on the General Rules and Regulations of Teachers’
Training Colleges;
Mindfulof the Decree n° 2000/696/PM of 13 September 2000 to lay down the general rules and
regulations for Government competitive examinations
Mindful of the Decree n°2011/408 of 09 December 2011 to organise the Government;
Mindful of the Decree n° 2011/409 of 09 December 2011 appointing the Prime Minister, Head of
State;
Mindful of the Decree n°2012/267 of 11 June 2012 to organise the Ministry of Secondary Education;
Mindful of the Decree n°2015/434 of 02 October 2015 to reshuffle the Government;
Mindful of the Order n°202/O9/MINESEC/1GE of 29 September 2009 to organise specialities in
GTTTC;
Mindful of the Order n°33/10/MTNESEC/lGE/IP-ETN/DECC of 15 February 2010 to organise
Competitive Common entrance examination into Public Government Technical T eachers’
Training Colleges (GTTTC);
Mindful of the Order n°6384/B1/1464/M1NEDUB/MINESEC of 24 June 2016 to define the Calendar
of the 2016/2017 School Year in the Republic of Cameroon;
Mindful of the Decision n°576/16/MINESEC/SEESEN/SG/DECC/SDOÈC of 15 October 2016 to
define the calendar and registration procedure into Examinations supervised by the
Department of Examinations and Certification, 2017 Session;
Mindful of the Decision n°727/16/MINESECISEESEN/SG/DECCISDOEC of 12 December 2016 to
define the 2017 Official Calendar of Examination.

DECIDES AS FOLLOWS:_
Article 1: A competitive common entrance examination for the recruitment of three thousand seven
hundred and thirty (3 730) student Teachers into Government Technical Teacher Training Colleges of
Bafoussam, Bertoua, Douala, Ebolowa, Garoua, Maroua, N’Gaoundere, and Soa for French speaking
candidates, and Jikejem, Kumba, and Mbengwi for English speaking candidates shall take place on
Tuesday 20 June and Wednesday 21 June 2017 in the capitals of all Regions.

Article 2: The distribution of available places per school, level and speciality is shown in an appendix.
Article 3: Age Limit

The examination is opened to young Cameroonians of both 5 J_ 5 at least and 32 years
at most by 15" January 2017.

Article 4: Certificate Requirements
The certificate required from candidates is as follows:

Article 5: However, candidates that do not meet all requirements cited in Article 4 shall be authorised to
sit for the examination subject to obtaining the diploma required during the 2017 session.

Article 6: Requirements and deadline

6.1. All Complete application files that must reach the Regional Delegations (RDSE), the Sub-

department of Examination and Certification, Divisional Delegations (DDSE) and Service of
Administrative and financial Affairs latest Friday 05 May 2017, shall include:
A duly filled and stamped registration form, that the candidate can collect from RDSE/DDSE;
A certified true copy of birth certificate not older than three (03) months (see over the registration
form);
A certified true copy of the certificate required for the Common Entrance Examination, or an
Attestation of School Attendance for those writing in anticipation of obtaining their certificate;
A certificate of non - conviction not earlier than three (03) months;
A Medical certificate not older than three (03) months, issued by a registered medical practitioner
and attesting of the ability of the candidate to work as a teacher, in accordance with the regulation
in force;
Two (02) identification forms;
Four (04) recent passport size photographs 4 x 4;
A Certificate of Nationality;

The receipt attesting payment of registration fees of CFA ten thousand (10.000), issued either by
the Sub - Director of General Affairs of the RDSE or the Service Head of Administrative and

financial Affairs of the DDSE;

6.3. Candidates sit for the examination in the Centre where they have submitted their candidacy
- files, and each in their proper speciality.

Article 8: The results of the competitive common entrance examination shall be published through &
radio-press release signed by the Minister of Secondary Education

Article 9 : The Head of the Department of Examination and Certification and Regional Delegates of
Secondary Education shall, each in their own sphere, be charged with the strict implementation of this
Decision, which shall be registered and published whercver necessary. /.tç'
