Concering the launching of the competitive entrance examination into the first year of the national
advanced school of engineering (ENSP) of the University of Yaounde I and to fix the number of places
available for the 2017/2018 academic. year.

THE MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION,

Mindful of the Constitution ;
Mindful of Law N° 005 of 16 April 2001 to set up Higher Education orientation;
Mindful of Decree N071/DF/260 of 4th June 1971 to create the Federal Advanced School of
Engineering;
Mindful of Decree N075/240 of 3rd April 1975 to reorganize the National Advanced School of
Engineering;
Mindful of Decree N°93/026 of 19 January 1993 to set up Universities ;
Mindful of Decree N°93/036 of 29 January 1993 to set up administrative and academic organisation
in the University of Yaounde I ;
Mindful of Decree NO 2005/142 of 29 April 2005 to organize the Ministry of Higher Education ,-
Mindful of Decree N° 2005/342 of 10 September 2005 to modify and to complete certain dispositions
of decree N° 93/027 of 19 January 1993 to set up general disposition for the universities ;
Mindful of Decree No 2009/008 of 12 January 2009 to appoint officials in the State Universities ;
Mindful of Decree n° 2011/408 of 09 December 2011 to organize the Government ;
Mindful of Decree n° 2011/410 of 09 December 2011 to appoint members of Government ;
Mindful of Decree No 2012/333 of 29 June 2012 to appoint a Vice - Chancellor and Rectors of certain;
Mindful of Decree N° 2012/366 of 06 August 2012 to appoint officials in the State Universities ;
Mindful of Decree N° 2012/433 of 01 October 2012 to organize the Ministry of Higher education;
Mindful of Decree N° 2013/0891/PM of 12 March 2013 to appoint officials in Ministry of Higher
education;

Mindful of order N017/00056/MINESUP/SG/DAUQ/SDEAC/SE of 25 January 2017 to organize the
calendar of competitive entrance examinations into Faculties, Schools and Institutes of
Cameroon State Universities for 2017 - 2018 academic year;

HEREBY ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1: A competitive entrance examination for the admission of one hundred and eighty 080)
students into the lirst year of the National Advanced School of Engineering (ENSP) ol‘thc University 01‘
Yaounde i. has been launched for the 2017/2018 academic year, in the following centres: Bafoussam,
Bamenda, Bcrtnua, Buea, Douala, Ebolowa, Garoua, Maroua, Ngaoundere, Yaounde and in the
capitals of CEMAC Countries. The examination shall consist of two 3 hours long written papers in
Mathematics and of two 3 hours long written papers in Physics. both of equal rating.

Article 2: The competitive entrance examination is open to:
- final year students of the science, technical and industrial series of Baccalaureate C, D. E and
13, as well as those preparing for the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE-AL) in
Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, and who have passed in at least four subjects (Religious
knowledge excluded) at the GCE-OL in one sitting.
- Holders of the Baccalaureate or at least two papers in the GCE - AL obtained in one sitting.
excluding Religious Knowledge.
- Holders of other equivalent certificates recognised by the Minister ol‘Highcr Education that;
Article 3: The syllabus is that ol‘Prerm’éi/e and Terminale classes, C series, or of GCE-A level Physics
and Fuither Mathematics. There shall be no oral examination.
Article 4: Successful candidates shall finally be admitted only on presentation of an attestation 01‘
success or the original result slip of the Baccalaureate or GCE- A - I.evel, or the equivalent as approved
by the Minister of Higher Education, within the deadline set by the school.

Article 5: Registration for the entrance examination is done online on the school website:
http://www.nolytcchniquccm/concours.

The application files shall include the following documents:

1. An individual form duly filled by the candidate online on the web site of entrance examination
ofthc school http://wxmv.polvtechniquecm/concours.
2. A photocopy of the national Identity card or its receipt.
3. Transcripts for Lower and Upper Sixth forms or first and final year where applicable.
4. A certified true copy ofthc birth certificate (not more than three months old).
5. A certified true copy of the Baccalaureate/GCE - A/L in two subjects (Religious knowledge
excluded) or equivalent certificate recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education or an
Attestation of success of any of the above.

6. Transcripts of the l’robatoire and Baccalaureate or Form live (GCE-O/L class) and Upper Sixth
(GCIZ-A/L class) which ever is applicable.
7. 4 passport size photographs (4 x 4)
8. A medical attestation of physical fitness delivered by a state registered medical doctor.
9. An A4 (400) francs CFA stamped self dressed envelope.

Article (1: The examination fee of twenty thousand francs CFA (20.000 frs) shall be payable through
EXPRESS UNION with a receipt delivered in exchange. The receipt shall be attached to the candidate's
application file. Any other means of payment shall not be accepted.

Article 7: The complete application tiles shall reach the Admissions Office of The National Advanced
School of Engineering, I’.O.8390 Yaounde, or the Regional Delegation of The Ministry of Secondary
Education of their residence latest the 05th of July 2017. However, foreign candidates of countries
in The CEMAC Zone, shall deposit their files with the Cameroonian diplomatic representatives in
their respective countries.

Article 8: Only candidates who have handed in complete application tiles within the dead-line will be
called upon to write the exams. They are therefore requested to come along with their National Identity
Cards which must be presented to the examination authorities.

Article 9: Candidates for the entrance examination into the first year must not be above 25 years by the
lst oflanuary 2017.

Article 10: The examination will take place on the 12th and 13‘h of July 2017 in the centres indicated
above. 

Article 11: The Rector of the University of Yaounde I, the Director of the Department of University
aecreditations and quality and the Director of the National Advanced School of Engineering, each in his
own sphere. are responsible for the implementation of this circular which shall be registered and
published in English and French wherever necessary.
