DECISION N O /MINESUP/MPT/SUP'PTIC OF 2018

 

Launching competiton examination in the first year and direct admission in the second year into the National Advanced School of Posts, Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies (SUP'PTIC) of Yaounde, and the Regional Training Centre of Buea, for the 2018/2019 academic year.

Mindful of the constitution:
Mindful of decree of 24 th March 1992 instituting the statute of National advanced School of Posts and Telecommunications;
Mindful of decree N C 201 1/408 of 09 th December 2011 organising the Government;
Mindful of decree N 0 201 1/409 of 09 th December 2011 appointing the Prime Minister Head of
Government;
Mindful of decree N 0201 1/410 of 09th December 201 1 appointing the members of government; Mindful of decree N O 2012/512 of 12 th April 2()12 organising the Ministry of Posts and
Telecommunications:
Mindful of decree N 02012/433 of I st April 2012 organising the Ministry of Higher Education;
Mindful of decree N O 2015/434 of 2 nd October 2015 to reshuffle the Government;
Mindful of decree NO 2016/425 of 26th October 2016 changing the denomination and reorganizing the
National Advanced School of Posts and Telecommunications;
Mindful of decree 11 0201 7/594 of 04th December 201 7 appointing the Director and the deputy
Director of the National advanced School of the Posts, Telecommunications and
Information and Communication Technologies;
Mindful of order of I I th November 1993 fixing the special duties into the National Advanced School of Posts and telecommunications;
On the proposal of the Director of the National Advanced School of Posts, Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies.

HEREBY DECIDES AS

ARTICLE 1: Competitive entrance examinations for admission into the different training cycles of the National Advanced School of Posts. Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies and the Regional Training Centre of Buea shall be written on the 21 st, 22 nd and 23 rd of August 2018 at all Regional headquarters: Bafoussam, Bamenda, Buea, Douala, Garoua, Ngaoundere, Bertoua, Maroua, Ebolowa and Yaounde.

ARTICLE 2. GENERALOR WRITING
1- Cycle for Assistant Telecommunications Engineers (ATE)/Bachelor in Engineering
Should be male or female. aged 15 years at least as from the 1 st January 201 8;
Should be a holder of the General Certificate of Education "Advanced Level" certificatg in at least two science subjects . Mathematics and Physics. A' level technical GCE or any equivalent certificate.

2- Cycle for Inspectors of Posts and Telecommunications (IPT)/ Bachelor in Administration
Should be male or female, aged 15 years at least as from the I SI January 2018;
Should be a holder of the General Certificate of Education "Advanced Level" in at least two subjects or any recognised equivalent certificate.

3- Cycle for Telecommunications Technicians (TT)
Should be male or female, aged 15 years at least as from the I st January 2018;
Should be a holder of the General Certificate of Education "Advanced Level" certificate in at least two science subjects, Mathematics and Physics, A' level technical GC'E or any equivalent certificate.

4- Cycle for Controllers of Posts and Telecommunications (CPT)
Should be male or female, aged 15 years at least as from the 1 st January 2018;
Should be a holder of the General Certificate of Education "Advanced Level" certificate in at least two suhjects or any equivalent certificate.

ARTICLE 3: NUMBER OF PLACES AVAILABLE
The number of places available per cycle is as follow;
• SUP'PTIC of Yaounde
Cameroonian Candidates:
For competitive examination in the first year
Assistant Telecommunications Engineers (ITT) 90 places
Inspectors of Posts and Telecommunications (IPT) For direct admission in the second year 40 places
Assistant Telecommunications Engineers (ITT) 15 places
• Inspectors of Posts and Telecommunications (IPT) 10 places
Half of the number of places are reserved for the best technicians and controllers students of the 2016/2018 batch.
Candidates of the Defence Ministry:
For competitive examination in the first year
Assistant Telecommunications Engineers (ITT) 05 places
Inspectors of Posts and Telecommunications (IPT) Candidats Etrangers :
For competitive examination in the first year 05 places

ARTICLE 4: CONTENT OF CANDIDATE'S FILE

Candidate's file which must be submitted at SUP 'P TIC Yaounde, Regional Training Centre of
Buea or all Posts and Telecommunications Regional Delegations except Yaounde and Buea on the 17 th August 2018 for the national and the foreigners candidates latest, shall be made up of the following documents:
An application form to be collected from all the Regional Delegations of Posts and telecommunications except Yaounde and Buea, the National Advanced School of Posts, Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies of Yaounde or the Regional Training Centre of Posts, Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies Of Buea or in the school web site (www.supptic.cm)•,
A payment receipt to any Post office (Account number 150657330-19) of 15,000 F CFA to accountant of SUP' PTIC;
A certified true copy of birth certificate not more than 03 Months old from the date of certification;
A certified true copy of the required certificate;
A school attendance certificate for candidates still expecting the results of the required certificate;
A medical certificate of fitness for working in the Posts and telecommunications sector, issued by a public medical practitioner; Four passport size photographs (4x4);
A certified true copy of the National Identity card;
A self-addressed stamped (350 F CFA Postal Stamp) envelope.

ARTICLE 5: EXAMINATIONS SYLLABUS REMAIN
I) For the Assistant Telecommunications Engineers Official programme for science upper sixth classes.
2) For the Inspectors of Posts and Telecommunications Official programme for upper six classes
3) For the Telecommunications Technicians:

ARTICLE 7: EXAMINATIONS' PLANNING

ARTICLE 8: Candidate are requested to come to the examination centres at least 30 minutes before the start of each examination paper. The must come along with their national identity card.

ARTICLE 9: Admission in the second year of the cycle for Assistant Telecommunications Engineers and for Inspectors is granted for candidates' holders of:
* For the cycle of Assistant Telecommunications Engineers, Diploma of
Telecommunications Technician of SUP'PTIC, DEUG, BTS, DSEP, DUI, I-IND or HDL) in telecommunications, electronics, electrotechnics and computer sciences or any recognised equivalent certificate;
* For the cycle of Posts and Telecommunications Inspectors, Diploma of
Financial and account Services or Telecommunication exploitation Controllers of SUP 'P TIC, HND, DEUG economics, in management, in law science or any recognised equivalent certificate.

ARTICLE 10: SCHOOL FEES PER YEAR
Candidates admitted into the school shall pay the following on the yearly basis.

  • Registration 10.000 F CFA
    - Sporting and cultural activities 10.000 F CFA
    - Insurance
    - Tuition 5.000 F CFA
    * Assistant Telecommunications Engineers 500.000 F CFA
    * Inspectors of Posts and Telecommunications 500.000 F CFA
    * Telecommunications Technicians 300.000 F CFA
    * Controllers of Posts and I-elecommunications
    Foreign candidates : 300.000 F CFA
    - Registration 10.000 F CFA
    - Sporting and cultural activities 10.000 F CFA
    - Insurance
    - Tuition 5.000 F CFA
    * Assistant Teleconununications Engineers 800.000 F CFA
    * Inspectors of Posts and Telecommunications 800.000 F CFA
    * Telecommunications Technicians 600.000 F CFA
    * Controllers of Posts and Telecommunications 600.000 F CFA

    ARTICLE 11 : Examination registration fees are non-refundable.

    ARTICLE 12: Only candidates who have submitted a complete and regular file shall be authorised to sit for the examinations.

ARTICLE 13: The results of the examinations shall be published by a communique of the Minister of Higher Education and the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications.

ARTICLE 14: Foreign students shall sit for special examinations organised by the Director of the National Advanced School of Posts, Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies.

ARTICLE 15: At the end of their training, the best students will be admitted directly in the master program.

ARTICLE 16: The Director for University Accreditations and Quality assists the Director of the National Advanced School of Posts, Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies in the implementation of this decision, which shall be registered, published and broadcast in both English and French wherever need be./-
