The Minister of Higher Education hereby announces to the general public and prospective applicants that the Japanese government through the National UNESCO Commission offers two (02) research scholarships to the Government of Cameroon.
These scholarships are open to Cameroonians of both sexes and concern the following domains: Environment, with special emphasis on the reduction of risks of catastrophes; Intercultural Dialogue; Information and Communication Technologies; Peaceful Conflict resolution.

Eligibility:
This programme concerns only researchers at the university level who are holders of the Master's degree or an equivalent;
Candidates should be persons of high intellectual standing;
Candidates should not be more than 40 years old;
The scholarship beneficiary shall carry out his/her research under the supervision of a university official of the host institution. He/she must obtain a confirmation of admission from the said official;
Candidates should have a good knowledge (reading and writing) of the language of instruction used in the proposed country of research.

The application file should comprise the following:
The UNESCO scholarship application form duly filled in two copies;
Two (2) recent passport-size photographs
Certified true copies of certificate or diplomas and transcripts (in two copies); A letter of recommendation from someone who has a good knowledge about the candidate's work;
An admission letter from a receiving academic institution;
The certificate of language aptitude (in the UNESCO form)/ duly filled in two (2) copies, on the language of the country where studies will be carried cut (if it is different from the candidate's mother tongue), issued by an official authority;
A detailed description, jn one or two pages (maximum), of the specified research work to be carried out by the candidate (presented in English QC French).
All candidatures shall be presented in the UNESCO scholarship application form alongside the required documents.
Candidates' files shall be received at the UNESCO National Commission as from the publication of this announcement till the 16th of November 2018 at 3.30 puma

N.B.: The files of applicants who are civil servants (at most two) must be forwarded by their Ministers.
All incomplete files shall be rejected,
